Una Burke///Seduction Featured on Vogue Italia

Seduction was born out of a single visual concept, which director John Haugh pitched to multi-award winning designer Úna Burke after seeing her breathtaking leather designs. This has been a labour of love for everyone on the team, including Úna Burke. The hand tooled leather accessories brand is gaining traction, multi awarded, and much lauded in the fashion world. The film shows the leather, by nature simultaneously supple and tough, seducing and wrapping the female form, until the final image where leather and female form become as one. Shot in March of 2016 at Ardmore studios in Ireland, the entire production team worked for free. Fashion Films are not a ‘thing’ in Ireland. We believe that they will be in the future.”

Una Burke will be using the film to assist promotion of her latest designs now exclusively available in Selfridges London, as well as to promote her designs in new territories as she expands her brand even further.

“I am incredibly proud to launch our fashion film, Seduction, at this time, which coincides with the launch of Úna Burke Leather in Selfridge’s new Accessories Hall in London and Online – tells the designer – This collaborative project has stemmed from a longtime friendship between director John Haugh and myself, who I first met during our years at art school together in Limerick, Ireland.
I am honoured that my work has inspired John to imagine such a beautiful project and I’m astounded with the effort has been made on all sides to make this happen.

I believe that the outcome is a credit to John and all of the teams at Windmill Lane, Pull the Trigger, Ardmore and so many others.  Already taking second place in the YDA Ireland and being shortlisted for Berlin Fashion Film Festival I hope that his film will be seen and appreciated across the world.”

John Haugh – Director bio
John has been hooked on film since he watched Star Wars and Indiana Jones as a young boy, after which he was convinced that Harrison Ford was his real father. To this day John still books his train tickets under various favourite character names, such as Hans Solo and of course Indie himself. Growing up John was constantly drawing, until he eventually decided he was the arty type and went to art college, where he was seen as decidedly un-arty due to the fact that he ran cross country and was on the rowing team. He got his Degree in Fine Art (LSAD) which led John to his first experiments in the medium of film. From there he went on to get his Masters in Film Production and Direction from the Huston School of Film and Digital Media (NUIG). It was here that his talent for innovation and direction truly shone when he directed his short films which were selected at various national film festivals. Then it was time for the hard graft. John learned his craft from the ground up in the AD department where he worked on various big budget international features, award winning TV series and commercials. Seduction for Una Burke is one of John’s first adverts to conceive and direct, the first of many.
